Since WMIC is no longer supported I decided to create a PowerShell script for the IndexThis functionality. I have tested it under
- Windows 11 Pro (25H2) | 10.0.26200.7462 | 64-Bit
- Windows 10 Home (22H2) | 10.0.19045.3930 | 64-Bit
with
- Powershell 5.1.26100.7462 and 7.5.4.500
- Everything 1.5.0.1404 and 1.4.1.1030
It works for the following drive types
- local disk
- removable disk
- mapped drive
- SUBST drive to path
- SUBST drive to share
All file systems of Everything 1.5 (NTFS/REFS/*FAT*) are supported.
With version 1.4 unknown file systems will be handled as folders.
Quick usage instructions:
- Unzip archive
- Run Install-IndexThis.lnk
- Start IndexThis from the context menu of a drive or directory
On my web site you will find the zip file and additional info.
